Some of our Firsts!
Deccan Yellow Pages Group, from which Indias-Best.Com evolved, was the pioneer of the Yellow Pages in India and was established in the 1986.
The company had several other firsts to its credit: - India’s first and only Multicolour Yellow Pages was released in 1993. The directory was not only in colour but also contained many value added features such as Key Person's name for listings, Buying tips for major classifications, Map reference, etc.
- In 1993, Deccan Yellow Pages Group diversified by adding a glossy magazine for Bangalore’s elite. The magazine Bangalore High Society set the trend in city based shopping magazines for the locals & tourists alike. This magazine for the rich and famous has many admirers and is circulated FREE in high profile fashion outlets, top restaurants, star hotels & distributed door-to-door to prominent corporate/businesses.
- In 1994, Deccan Yellow Pages Group launched “Brand Busters”, a
poster showcase for both IT & Non IT branded business organizations in the city. - In 1996 when e-commerce was still in its infancy, Deccan Yellow Pages Group launched India’s first Yellow Pages on the Internet at www.deccanyellowpages.com.
- The entire print version of Bangalore & Hyderabad directory was put-up on cyberspace.
- In 1997, Deccan Yellow Pages released an exciting poster on Bangalore depicting typical Bangalore with over 200 unique caricatures.
In 1998, Deccan Yellow Pages introduced a multimedia encyclopedia on Bangalore on CD-ROM for just Rs.99/-. It was a first of its kind in the country and still is. The CD-ROM has over 2000 rich photos, interactive maps (which provide distances between two “Hot Spots” of the city) - and many dedicated sections such as Tourism, Industries, Art & Culture, Education, Sports, and over 300 personalities of both past & present.

MEET OUR KEY PLAYERS MANJUNATH P. BIJJAHALLI: CEO
An Electronics Engineer from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore (1982) and the promoter of Indias-Best.Com Pvt Ltd, Manjunath completed his MS in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, USA in 1984. Thereafter, he worked for two years in the USA as a Computer Design Engineer.
On his return to Bangalore in 1986, he founded Deccan Yellow Pages (P) Ltd and was responsible for introducing Bangalore's and India's first yellow pages. Over the last 16 years, he has been responsible for many of India's firsts, which include the first multi-color directory, a multi-media encyclopedia CD-ROM on Bangalore, the first to put up the yellow pages on the internet, etc.
Having run the Company successfully for the last 16 years, Manjunath is now a specialist in the areas of print and publishing, multi-media, marketing and sales, public relations and operations. In 1992, he founded an association of returned NRIs called The RNRI Association in Bangalore which boasts of over 300 professional members today.
AJAY KAPPARATH:Regional Sales Manager - South
With a Diploma in Electronics and another in Advertising, Ajay spent the first nine years of his career with Getit Yellow Pages, after which he did a brief stint with Indiamarket.Com, a B2B portal, where he helped develop their database for Bangalore and Chennai. He joined Indias-Best.Com with a holistic view of the media world.
Possessing excellent market knowledge and marketing skills, he is responsible for operations and meeting sales targets in all the branches

K SURESH:Art Director
Armed with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Chamarajendra Dhrushyakala Academy, Mysore, comprising two years foundation and 3 years specialization in Applied Arts, Suresh joined the Company in 1988 and has been with us ever since.
Heading the Print & Production team, he is responsible for all offline publications, right from the artwork stage to completion of the job. His diligence and meticulous attention to detail are among his assets

PAUL FERNANDES: Creative Consultant
Has over 20 years of experience in large Ad agencies, Trikaya Grey being one of them, as an Art Director. Paul's strength lie in his ability to energize layout, typography and graphics with visual dynamics that work. Paul is also famous for his cartooning skills, and his "Cityscape" posters: The Brand Busters, Bang Bang Bangalore, Mumbai Parade, Arabian Nights (Dubai) are well known.
